AI is easy, it’s your vision that you need to figure out

3.1min Read

Happy Sunday everybody. Couple things I want to cover with this email today. One is I want to show you how easy it is to build something out with AI.

And I want to make it VERY clear to you today in this email that it is possible for YOU to build absolutely anything! AI is the easy part.

It’s just a matter of making sure that you have a vision for what you want to build.

I’ll take it even further by saying, if you don’t have clarity in your vision, you can first prompt AI to help you find that clarity in the vision! And THEN, once that’s dialed in, going through the motions, having the patience to troubleshoot, fail, iterate, and then finally to get it right, that’s just a matter of putting one foot in front of the other.

The video below shoes just how simple it is.

TLDR if you’d rather read than watch...

I built my own Wispr Flow. I’m calling it Open Voice.

If you don’t know Wispr Flow, it’s a voice dictation app. Hold a hotkey, talk to your computer, and it transcribes and pastes whatever you said. I’ve been paying $15/month for it and using it constantly... emails, texts, prompting AI, all of it.

But I just built my own version. It works exactly the same, it’s trained on MY voice, and I’m about to cancel my Wispr Flow subscription (which is wild because I love that tool).

Here’s the playbook:

Step 1. Brain dump into Claude.

I opened up Claude and word-vomited everything I wanted this thing to do. The hotkey behavior, the dashboard, the look, the feel. I kept iterating until Claude understood the vision in my head.

Step 2. Have Claude write the prompt for you.

After the brain dump, I said: “okay, now create a prompt I can drop into Claude Code to start this build.” That prompt becomes your blueprint.

Step 3. Drop the prompt into Claude Code.

This is where the actual build happens. I used my terminal. Claude Code can access your terminal and walk you through the setup, API keys, all of it.

Step 4. Skip my hard work entirely.

I already did the painful part. I packaged everything up with a step-by-step guide and pushed it to GitHub. So all you really need to do is grab my REPO LINK , drop it into Cowork or Claude Code, and say “build this on my computer.”

That’s it.

The dashboard side is honestly my favorite part. It tracks every time I dictate, my voice patterns, my signature phrases, my “voice DNA.” Super cool to see your own voice mapped out like that.

Next step for me is turning this from a terminal tool into a real app like Wispr Flow actually is. But for now... terminal works, it’s fast, it’s good.

AI is easy. GENUINELY. The hard part is having the vision, packaging it clearly, and having the patience to iterate when something breaks.

You don’t need to be a coder. You need to know what you want.
Build it. Let me know if you do. And shoot me a reply if you get stuck.

🍩BITE 1 — You are meant for greatness

“Success! Thank you so much for subscribing! You were meant for greatness and I hope to help you get there.” —
This has been the success confirmation message for my newsletter for at least three years now. And I JUST recently upgraded my newsletter to reflect more of what I’m doing now. In the process, I created a new form that I’ve embedded on the new landing page that I made specifically for my newsletter and my recent projects and I forgot to change the success confirmation message. It’s a tiny little detail! You have to go into settings and then change what the message is that somebody gets once they enter their information in and subscribe. The standard is “success! Now please confirm an email that was sent to you” or something along those lines. Basically, blah. And it was that that I forgot to change! But one subscriber snuck in and subscribed to my newsletter just before I made that change. And when I was talking to them, the old success confirmation message was what stood out to them the most. I immediately went back in and made sure that I transferred that message over to the new sign up link.

The point that I’m trying to make here is that AI is amazing, but what we can’t ever forget is how important that personal human touch is! For someone to feel recognized, appreciated, and believed in, things like that come best from another human. Because we ARE human and that’s what WE want for ourselves! And that’s what we call empathy. Our ability to have empathy is becoming increasingly more valuable.

The tactical: I’ll hear more often than not, that there is just SO MUCH information out there about [you can fill in the blank] and it’s so hard to keep up with all of it.Yes! 100%! We live in a time where there is literally more information than we can comfortably consume. It’s just not possible. Sooo, we have to find ways to still gather the...

An entrepreneur's recipe for sweet success 3.13min Read I’m pulling the curtain back on the stuff I’ve been building in the background... So here’s something new.I’ve been quietly building a bunch of cool stuff behind the scenes, and instead of just hinting at it in here every week, I decided to actually record short videos showing you EXACTLY what I’m doing. Why? Because I want you to see how this stuff works. Not just hear me say “AI is wild” for the hundredth time. (But it is…) You should...
