Doughnut heads, happy Sunday! This is super important so I want you to pay close attention.

We are in a time right now where if you can dream it, you can build it. I’ve said this before and I’m not exaggerating. The second you realize this will be the second your life changes forever.

You don’t need a web designer to build a landing page

You don’t need a developer to build the app idea you have

You don’t need publisher to bring your book idea to life

You don’t need to know how to write music to craft beautiful songs

You don’t need to leave your home to build multi-million dollar business.

I’m sure you know all this, but you might need to hear it again.

The friction is being eliminated by the day, it’s just a matter of execution.

Execution is what’s gonna separate the cream of the crop. Not the quality of execution. But simply just the mere ACT of execution. Who are the action takers? Who are the ones that had the idea, found the tool build it and then shipped it?

THOSE are the people that will find success. Those are the ones that found success in every pivotal time in our history. The action takers, the executioners, the ones crazy enough to put themselves out there… become those people. Or at least hang around those people.

It’s Sunday right now as you read this and it’s a special day. It’s Father’s Day.

More than any project I’m working on, all the money in the world, all the success I dream of— I love being a dad.

The reality is that these pursuits of mine in many ways ARE selfish, it’s dreams that I have, things I want, success I vision…

But what grounds me are my kids.
When I walk in the door they don’t ask me how much money is in my account or what app I’m building next or anything like that. They just want time with me. They spell love “T I M E”.

To all my ambitious dads out there, the ones building in the early mornings, the late nights, the naps… stay in the fight. Keep building your empire, but also DONT FORGET who you want to join you in your castle.

You can’t wait until you make it to come up for air. Put the phone down, shut off the computer and just BE with the ones that matter before that time slips away.

— What’s your Sparktype?

I’m big into personality tests. Not in a woo woo way, but in a “growth mindset, know myself better” kind of way.

Truthfully I think more people than not are completely unaware of the inner workings of who they are. Self examination isn't easy and there might be some things we don’t want to find out… BUT that is the path to growth. And with growth, comes growing pains.

I was reminded of a great personality indicator the other day from a friend (and subscriber) and I revisited the results. This is a great test to take if you want to dive in.

I talk a ton about vibecoding these days for a couple of reasons:

  1. This is the most accessible way we’ve ever had to take an idea and turn it into a living breathing business within minutes. You can build, deploy, ship and test a concept on anything at anytime.
  2. I have way too many ideas to keep in my head. I can’t help mysellf

Alex Finn shares how he vibecoded a $300k / year business

Until next time...

Stay in the fight,

An entrepreneur's recipe for sweet success 2.6min Read Because I don’t know if what I’m about to do is going to work. But I think it’s important that I at least try. So if this IS the last one... I appreciate you more than you know. Thank you for tuning in. Ok. Now that I got the hook out of the way (and possibly got you to keep reading)... I’m going to keep writing these emails. The only question is whether the email platform I’m building to replace the one I pay for every year will actually...

An entrepreneur's recipe for sweet success 3.5min Read October 16, 2025 was my last day as a police officer. Listen to this instead: HERE As you're reading this, it's been a full year since I left a career I thought I'd spend 30 years in. I didn't want to spend those 30 years there, but I didn't feel like I had another choice.BUT... I did believe I was meant to do bigger things. So in the background, for those 10 years, I experimented. I tinkered. I chased a lot of shiny objects. So if you...

An entrepreneur's recipe for sweet success 2.8min Read If you haven’t seen the movie Slumdog Millionaire... watch it when you can. I’ve referenced it a couple of times over the years, and I believe that movie is a brilliant representation of what is available to each and every one of us in life. I’m not saying everyone is going to make a million dollars or end up on a game show like that. What I’m saying is that as we go through life, every experience we have, everything we go through,...
