Go and build it yourself

I know a specific crowd reads newsletters.

The general public don’t, but the growth mindset peeps do.

And that’s what you are.

And I appreciate you.

I also really appreciate your time and don’t want to waste it with anything less than value in some way, shape or form.

With that said, if there are topics that I’ve covered that you want more of, please let me know. Same goes for ones that you didn’t like.

Now, let’s just right into the tactical juice here and take it one bite at a time. Here’s what we’re covering:

BITE 1 - $20k app that might replace his 401k

BITE 2 - Everyday uses for AI

BITE 3 - Ideabrowser.com

BITE 4 - Mysterypreneur Link

BITE 1
— $20k app that might replace his 401k

I had the pleasure of sitting down and interviewing a long time friend that built a freaking awesome app.

Joe Lagor and I met through CrossFit almost 12 years ago where he came in as a member of the gym I was working at and now he’s a coach himself on the side of all the other ventures he’s involved in.

One of them being the development and launch of an app.

Joe's a data guy. His moto is “Excellence without history leads to a mystery.” If you don’t track it, you don’t know. No matter how well you perform.

For years he used an app called MyWOD. Then one day things stopped working on it. The app just wasn’t operational anymore. Super weird.

After a deep dive, he contacted the original creator of the app and come to find out, the trademark had expired, the domain name was available and the creator himself wasn’t going to bring it back online...

In fact he pretty much challenged Joe to make his own.

And that’s exactly what he did.
No experience
No outside funding
Just highly motivated

$20k later, Joe had this built. It is now the one and only personal CrossFit workout data tracker that exists. It's so niche, it's brilliant!

Anything and everything that you can track in the gym (CrossFit and Olympic lifting related) can go right into the app.

What I love most about this story is that Joe just did it. He was trying to be nice and workout a deal with the previous creator, but when the door was shut in his face, he kicked down another door and found his way in.

The beauty with the time we live in is that you don’t need to spend anymore than $20/mo on something like Replit or Loveable to get an MVP out of the app you want. Then bring in a dev to finish it off.

When you see opportunity, it’s up to you whether you get after it.

This is what Joe saw:

4M CrossFitters
1% adoption = 40K users
$2.99/month —> $1 net
= $40K/month in recurring revenue

Not bad right?

Right now he has a lifetime offer going for $9.99 and a pretty substantial referral program.

He shares all the deets in his interview

— Everyday uses for AI

More times than I can count I’ve heard people say that they need to “try AI out” or “play around with AI more”. This got me thinking about what things I could share about how to use AI in everyday tasks. This led me to create this tweet.

These aren’t high tech, wazoo uses, these are just everyday uses that make my life easier.

Check it out here:

Now I’m not saying that we’re exactly the same, but if you read this newsletter, there’s a little shiny object chaser in you… it’s okay to admit it. And there’s nothing wrong with it. You just have to direct it in the right way… with that said, here’s a business idea for you to run with if you so choose:

First, check this out—
Ideabrowser.com

This was created by Greg Isenberg originally for personal use, but now it’s available to the public. BASICALLY It reviews trends and exploding topics and generates business ideas from those topics. But let’s take this a step further. You could essentially create your own business or at least content gold from this.

Steps:

  1. Get a daily business idea from the site
  2. Add your own thoughts to it
  3. Share stats/pics on social media/ newsletter
  4. Repeat 🔁

Not everyone knows about this. Just simply sharing what you see on there will help you get eyes on your content.

But let’s take this further— All this software is, is a specific API used to distill these trends and then it’s ran through an AI to generate the reports and images.

It’s obviously a little more complicated than that, but using what I know, I came up with a prompt that you could put into the AI coding tool of your choice and make your OWN!

Copy this exact prompt👇

We’re building a lightweight MVP inspired by Ideabrowser.com with two core features:--

💎 Feature 1: "Trend to Startup Idea"

Pull trending keywords from the Exploding Topics API (or similar), then use GPT-4 to generate 10 business ideas per day.

Each idea should be stored with:

  • Trend keyword
  • Timestamp
  • Full breakdown in this format:

---
**Idea Name:**
**What It Is:**
**Why Now:**
**Target Customer:**
**How It Makes Money:**
**Execution Difficulty (1-10):**
**Competitive Advantage:**
**Suggested First Step:**
---
Use a Supabase or Replit DB to store these and a simple front-end to display:

  • “Idea of the Day”
  • Full searchable archive
  • Upvote/save/share function

---

💎 Feature 2: "AI Strategy Report" (User Input)

Allow a user to submit **their own business idea** (a paragraph or one-liner). Run it through GPT-4 to generate a **founder-friendly strategy report**, returned in this format:
---
**Idea Summary:**
**Market Potential:**
**Who Needs This:**
**Business Model Options:**
**What’s Been Tried (Competition):**
**What’s Missing (White Space):**
**Go-To-Market Strategy:**
**Revenue Potential (Estimates):**
**Execution Difficulty (1-10):**
**Founder Fit Considerations:**
**3 Immediate Action Steps:**
---
Optional: Allow the user to refine this by selecting a category (e.g. SaaS, Marketplace, Service Biz).
---

⚒ Tech Stack

  • **Trend Data:** Exploding Topics API or Glimpse API
  • **Idea Engine:** OpenAI GPT-4
  • **Database:** Supabase or Firebase
  • **Frontend:** Replit HTML/JS, Next.js or Astro
  • **Deployment:** Vercel or Replit
  • **Email Capture:** ConvertKit or Form backend (optional)
  • **Optional Add-ons:** Stripe for monetized reports, shareable idea URLs

---
🧠 Let’s start by generating a test version that:

  • Pulls one trend and creates one idea
  • Accepts one user-submitted idea and returns a full strategy report

From there, we can build out a queue, user history, and pro-tier features.

You’ve heard of vibecoding, but what about vibemarketing?? This movement is all about using AI/ agents to complete workflows that you once had a full team do. Absolutely insane. Start thinking bigger. We are not living in the same world as we did 1 year ago. What you once thought was impossible is now just a piece of cake.

Check out tools like:

And prepare to have your mind BLOWN

Until next time...

Stay in the fight,

Media 🤝 small business = 📈 ripe opp Probably high on the sponsor rev, but a tad low on ad rev. Looking at the last 11 months (left) this channel was chugging along for a while before hitting a winning streak (January) Lesson: NEVER QUIT https://twitter.com/kevinasrx/status/1928785469061607883

I appreciate you more than you know. Thank you for tuning in. Ok. Now that I got the hook out of the way (and possibly got you to keep reading)... I’m going to keep writing these emails. The only question is whether the email platform I’m building to replace the one I pay for every year will actually...

An entrepreneur's recipe for sweet success 3.5min Read October 16, 2025 was my last day as a police officer. Listen to this instead: HERE As you're reading this, it's been a full year since I left a career I thought I'd spend 30 years in. I didn't want to spend those 30 years there, but I didn't feel like I had another choice.BUT... I did believe I was meant to do bigger things. So in the background, for those 10 years, I experimented. I tinkered. I chased a lot of shiny objects. So if you...

An entrepreneur's recipe for sweet success 2.8min Read If you haven’t seen the movie Slumdog Millionaire... watch it when you can. I’ve referenced it a couple of times over the years, and I believe that movie is a brilliant representation of what is available to each and every one of us in life. I’m not saying everyone is going to make a million dollars or end up on a game show like that. What I’m saying is that as we go through life, every experience we have, everything we go through,...
