2.8min Read Escape velocity - The point at which you believe that you can make the leap from the hamster wheel you’re on, to the life that you were meant to live. Escape velocity is subjective. It’s different for everyone. It’s not universally quantifiable and more personal to YOU and your position. Some might need a number to hit. Some it’s a point in time where everything changes For some it’s a feeling that they are being called elsewhere and they have to make the jump. Let me start by being fully transparent here— I am not yet at escape velocity, but the timeline that I had in my head, changed drastically recently. And sometimes that happens. Sometimes you just WAKE UP from the sleep that you’re in and realize that you’re nowhere you’re supposed to be. Sometimes it’s an incident or experience or connection that takes place that SLAPS you across the face and snaps you out of the zombie mode you were in. Humans are creatures of habits. We like routine and stability. We seek safety, assurance and comfort. It’s VERY easy to fall victim to “clocking in and clocking out” and then waking up one day with a truck load of “what if’s” and “I wish I would haves”… I don’t know about you, but I’m not okay with that. I refuse to go through the prime years of my life living for the weekend and waking up sick to my stomach Monday mornings knowing what’s ahead. But then what? While I don’t have the exact formula for you, I am truly trying to figure it out. And I promise to share the lessons with you along the way. For now, I’ll leave you with a couple ideas that maybe you can chew on
There’s plenty more where those came from, but I’ll let those digest for now. If you’re in this battle right now, just know that I’m in your corner. You’re not alone with this and if you wanna share some of what you’re trying to figure out, I’d love to hear. Today was a little heavy, so just 2 BITES 🍩 🍩 BITE 1 This is SO accurate. Until next time... Stay in the fight, My best tweet this week: Ok so this one actually went bonkers 📈. Maybe my best performing post of all time haha

An entrepreneur's recipe for sweet success 2.6min Read Because I don’t know if what I’m about to do is going to work. But I think it’s important that I at least try. So if this IS the last one... I appreciate you more than you know. Thank you for tuning in. Ok. Now that I got the hook out of the way (and possibly got you to keep reading)... I’m going to keep writing these emails. The only question is whether the email platform I’m building to replace the one I pay for every year will actually...
An entrepreneur's recipe for sweet success 3.5min Read October 16, 2025 was my last day as a police officer. Listen to this instead: HERE As you're reading this, it's been a full year since I left a career I thought I'd spend 30 years in. I didn't want to spend those 30 years there, but I didn't feel like I had another choice.BUT... I did believe I was meant to do bigger things. So in the background, for those 10 years, I experimented. I tinkered. I chased a lot of shiny objects. So if you...
An entrepreneur's recipe for sweet success 2.8min Read If you haven’t seen the movie Slumdog Millionaire... watch it when you can. I’ve referenced it a couple of times over the years, and I believe that movie is a brilliant representation of what is available to each and every one of us in life. I’m not saying everyone is going to make a million dollars or end up on a game show like that. What I’m saying is that as we go through life, every experience we have, everything we go through,...
