I’m rebuilding my entire newsletter operation. In a weekend. With AI. By myself.

3.0min Read

Every year, sometimes more, I sit down to update my newsletter. If I’m being honest, it’s always a lot of work. I LOVE it, but still it takes time.

New welcome sequence. (This is the hardest part)
New landing page.
New lead magnets.
New everything.

Because life changes, projects change, what I’m building changes, and the front-end of all this needs to keep up.

For the last 3 or 4 years that update has been a DRAG. Like a “block out a whole weekend, mentally drained by Sunday” kind of slog.

BUT— not anymore.

As I’m writing this (dictating actually, into Wispr Flow at 5:47am because my brain works faster than my fingers), I’m in the middle of redoing the entire thing.

The welcome sequence.
The landing page.
A new lead magnet.
The whole machine.

And it’s going to take me a couple of hours.
A few years ago this same project ate up weeks. Now it’s a Saturday with good coffee and a Claude tab open.

What I’m saying is…
If you have a newsletter and you’re treating it like an email, you are GENUINELY missing the bigger play.

A newsletter is a business. Or it can be at least.

The email itself is just the most visible part. The real machine has four parts, and AI just made every single one of them 100x easier to build.

I’m calling it the Newsletter Content Machine. (Not my best title, but its self explanatory at least)

1. The Front Door
Your landing page. Where strangers become subscribers. For years I have 100% avoided redesigning mine because “build a landing page” was legit something you would have to hire a developer for… OR you could use a templated landing page and never be quite satisfied with it.

With Lovable plus Claude I can describe what I want in plain English and have a working, branded, CONVERTING page in under 2 hours. More than anything now its just about deciding what you want to say.

2. The First Impression
Your welcome sequence. Most people’s “whole sequence” is one email that says “thanks for subscribing, here’s the latest issue.” That’s it. I’m a little wordy, so my last sequence was 7 days long…

It should ultimately introduce the new subscriber to who you are, what you write about, and why they should stick around. If done right…

But that means it is a MAJOR process to rewrite those and update them on life and projects and hooks, etc. NOW I hand Claude 20 of my old issues, give it a structured prompt about my voice, and have a first draft of the whole sequence in an hour. Absolutely GAME CHANGING

3. The Bait
Your lead magnets. Why would anyone hand over their email? The inbox is a sacred thing… But if you’re giving them something useful in return, that helps. PDFs, mini-courses, templates, files, whatever. Each one used to require its own design, copy, and landing page. I can’t event ell you how many hours I’ve spent in Canva building those. WAY TOO LONG.

Now I take my best-performing issue, ask Claude to turn it into a polished PDF, generate a landing page for it, and post the whole thing the same day.

4. The Amplifier
Your repurposing engine. One issue of this newsletter has 3 to 5 ideas worth talking about somewhere else. Why does it die in your inbox?
It shouldn’t. With the right setup every issue becomes 4 tweets, 1 LinkedIn post, a script for a YouTube short, and a clip for IG. ALL the same content. But much larger reach. AI does the heavy lifting and you keep your voice. There’s a book that I read a couple years back called “Create Once, Distribute Forever” by Ross Simmonds that talks about this really well. He doesn't really mention AI, but the concepts transfer really well.

Here’s the part I want you to sit with...

I’m not doing this in an office somewhere where I have a bunch of blocked off time with peace and quiet. I’m doing it on a weekend. While my kids are running around in and out of the room. While I drink coffee. While dictating into a microphone because that’s faster.

What used to be a big freaking project, is now a “you and Claude on a Saturday” thing.

You don’t need a set up. You don’t need to take a course. You need to know HOW to ask AI for what you want, and you need to be willing to start.

As time goes on, I will share with you the actual prompts, the tools and the stuff I’m building RIGHT now so you can watch the machine come together in real time, so that YOU can do this as well.

BITES

🍩BITE 1Wispr Flow
The reason this newsletter exists at 5:47am. Wispr lets you dictate into any text area without the need to slow down your speech or over-pronounce things. It also cleans up the grammar on the fly, based on the parameters you set. Game changer.

🍩BITE 2Mysterypreneur Link
(Marc is a good friend of mine and a very well versed and experienced entrepreneur)

🍩BITE 3AI juice 🧃Juice for thought — A wild side effect of all this... once you can rebuild your own newsletter in a weekend, you can do it for someone else’s too. Most mid to large newsletter operators update their newsletter every year or so and almost none of them have time to do it well. Annual newsletter update service. SUPER niche, but I genuinely haven’t heard of anyone offering it. Maybe put a pin in that one.

Until next time...

Stay in the fight,

An entrepreneur's recipe for sweet success 2.9min Read This email will be both tactical AND a little philosophical. So let’s dive in, shall we? The tactical: I’ll hear more often than not, that there is just SO MUCH information out there about [you can fill in the blank] and it’s so hard to keep up with all of it.Yes! 100%! We live in a time where there is literally more information than we can comfortably consume. It’s just not possible. Sooo, we have to find ways to still gather the...

An entrepreneur's recipe for sweet success 3.1min Read Happy Sunday everybody. Couple things I want to cover with this email today. One is I want to show you how easy it is to build something out with AI. And I want to make it VERY clear to you today in this email that it is possible for YOU to build absolutely anything! AI is the easy part. It’s just a matter of making sure that you have a vision for what you want to build. I’ll take it even further by saying, if you don’t have clarity in...

An entrepreneur's recipe for sweet success 3.13min Read I’m pulling the curtain back on the stuff I’ve been building in the background... So here’s something new.I’ve been quietly building a bunch of cool stuff behind the scenes, and instead of just hinting at it in here every week, I decided to actually record short videos showing you EXACTLY what I’m doing. Why? Because I want you to see how this stuff works. Not just hear me say “AI is wild” for the hundredth time. (But it is…) You should...
