2.5min Read I want to pause here and write a different newsletter this week. I had one planned out and pretty much done, but I realized that there was something much more relevant to share. Just so you know, no one else writes these. And I don't batch write them. They are ALL put together the week of, sometimes just a day or two before. I do that because I genuinely want the content that I write about to be relevant. There’s so many ups and downs of life and I want this newsletter to reflect that. It’s unfiltered and fully transparent. With that said, I’m totally pivoting and writing a new email to you because I just finished a book that has seriously become one of my all time favorites. This book was a recommendation and one that I will now continue to recommend from here on out. Here’s my pitch- If you are an entrepreneur or you want to be one or you have dreams that you want to achieve and you’re trying to figure out how to achieve them and what that might look like, this is a book for you. I don't think this is a book for everyone, but if you’re reading this email, it is most likely a book for you. I wish I had a fancy affiliate link that you could use to buy this, but I don't. No kick backs of any kind are influencing this email. Just trust me and read this. I want to describe the book to you, but I spent 5 min trying to describe it to my buddy Aaron Makelky and my description ended up with me just saying “look, if you don't like this, I’ll buy you lunch”… While I don't think it would be a financially sound decision for me to give each of you that same offer, I will say this. If you don't like this book, email me back and we can hop on a call and chat all about it. I’ll pay you in time. Also, if you don't want to spend the $13 on amazon, just go to thriftbooks.com and grab it there for $5. Again, not an affiliate, that’s just my favorite spot to buy books. My goal here is to get the author, Leslie Householder into the community that I’m running now and dig deeper into the meaning of this book. WHEN that happens, I’ll let you know! BITES 🍩 BITE 1 — Missed opportunities 🍩BITE 1 But here’s the caveat— I have a family that loves me and wants my attention. It makes me sad to think of all the times that my kids haven’t talked to me or told me something because my head was in my phone. I don't really have a solution for that yet, but one thing that I’m doing more often is if I need to handle something and everyone is home and its suppose to be family time, I step out of the room for a few minutes so that I can handle the thing quickly and quietly and then go back and reengage. This doesn't always work out, but it’s a start. And again, not sure if this is the best solution, but we will eventually get there. Progress over perfection 🍩BITE 2 🍩BITE 3 I’m hosting my buddy Ryan Doser in the TKO Community on Wednesday December 10th. This is typically only for TKO members, but I’m dropping the link here if anyone else wants to join and check it out.. Until next time... Stay in the fight, My best tweet this week:

An entrepreneur's recipe for sweet success 2.6min Read Because I don’t know if what I’m about to do is going to work. But I think it’s important that I at least try. So if this IS the last one... I appreciate you more than you know. Thank you for tuning in. Ok. Now that I got the hook out of the way (and possibly got you to keep reading)... I’m going to keep writing these emails. The only question is whether the email platform I’m building to replace the one I pay for every year will actually...
An entrepreneur's recipe for sweet success 3.5min Read October 16, 2025 was my last day as a police officer. Listen to this instead: HERE As you're reading this, it's been a full year since I left a career I thought I'd spend 30 years in. I didn't want to spend those 30 years there, but I didn't feel like I had another choice.BUT... I did believe I was meant to do bigger things. So in the background, for those 10 years, I experimented. I tinkered. I chased a lot of shiny objects. So if you...
An entrepreneur's recipe for sweet success 2.8min Read If you haven’t seen the movie Slumdog Millionaire... watch it when you can. I’ve referenced it a couple of times over the years, and I believe that movie is a brilliant representation of what is available to each and every one of us in life. I’m not saying everyone is going to make a million dollars or end up on a game show like that. What I’m saying is that as we go through life, every experience we have, everything we go through,...
