🍩BITE 1 The cost of not starting

When you start something, you don’t always know what direction it’s going to go.

And you don’t need to know.

The key is that you STARTED something and that you put energy into it over time.

Only when you you’ve walked down that road a bit, can you really look back and see how each part of your journey makes sense.

But again, the key to THAT is that you are actually walking down the road to begin with, not just standing still.

When I started this newsletter almost 4 years ago, I would have never predicted the direction it would have gone. It started with the desire to share as much value about the entrepreneur ventures I was involved in as I could. The goal being to share the lessons as I’m learning them so that readers would skip the line.

The intent is still here, but the content has drastically changed. And that’s exactly what we want.

When we start something, we want and need it to evolve as WE personally evolve.

This applies to everything that you do and intend to get better with.

  • Your business
  • Your fitness
  • Your relationships
  • Your skillsets

Where we start BETTER NOT be where we finish… or else something went wrong along the way.

But here’s the thing, we can talk about this stuff all day and acknowledge how important it is to start something and keep doing it and to be ok with it evolving and changing… We can all nod our heads in agreement with that… that’s easy… The hard part is doing it.

The hard part is to START and then the next hard part is to KEEP GOING…. And then the hard part after that is to come to grips with things changing in ways that you don’t expect them to.

But that my friend, is growth. That is the way it’s supposed to be. We don’t need or get to know all the answers. OUR JOB is to stay in the fight and put one foot in front of the other— trusting that you CAN and WILL figure it out along the way.

🍩BITE 2How to create projects within Claude Cowork

I’m going to serve you AI in two ways here.

  1. I created a screen recording of how to set up Claude Cowork projects that you can watch
  2. I took the transcript from that recording and prompted Claude to use my voice and writing style to distill the transcript into a “how to” guide. What you see pasted is exactly what Claude spit out using my writing style and voice.

Here's the RECORDING 🎥

Step 1: Create a Project
Go into Projects. You can start from scratch or import an existing folder. Doesn’t matter. You’re just setting up a container for related tasks.

Step 2: Add Your Tasks
You’ve got two paths here:
If you already have tasks in Cowork—right click, hit “Move to Project,” pick your project. It goes in there.
If you’re creating something new—spin up a new task directly in Cowork. When you run it, the chat automatically gets stored in whichever project you’re in.

Step 3: Keep It Clean
Need to pull something out? Right click, remove from project. Done.

Everything that belongs together is actually together. You’ve got multiple tasks running for the same client or the same workflow? They’re all in the same project. You reference them, build on them, iterate faster. Your workspace stays clean instead of turning into a graveyard of random automation runs.
It’s simple. It works. Anybody can do it.

🍩 BITE 3 This week in AI

OPENDOOR AI

OpenAI
is really leaning into the “AI for the people” POV. While anthropic is dialing things in and making it difficult to work with any third party agents, Open AI is becoming the “open door” of AI. You know that house in the neighborhood who’s doors are always open, the parents are super chill, there’s always good snacks… well that’s what OpenAI is trying to be… But that doesn't mean its the best model. They have been struggling and IMO, Claude is all around much better. BUT, Claude is also locking things down quite a bit and becoming the super NICE house in the neighborhood with the perfect lawn and the clean carpet. Shoes off in that house for sure. Beautiful house and great amenities, but not an open door policy.

FIX YOUR PROMPT, PROMPT:

Use this prompt trick to fixes 80% of your AI frustration
If ChatGPT or Claude keeps giving you mid answers, it’s probably because you’re asking for everything at once.

The hack is to just break your request into stages.

First prompt = “ask me questions until you understand what I want.

Second prompt = “now give me an outline.”

Third prompt = “now write it.

GOOGLE DICTATION APP

Google super quietly released a dictation app called google AI Edge Eloquent. This is super cool for all those voice memo users out there. Is it as good as Whisperflow? I don't know yet, but the competition for these apps is definitely heating up. It works offline and in airplane mode just like your voice memos. It’s available to download today. Super cool stuff.

Until next time...

Stay in the fight,

An entrepreneur's recipe for sweet success 2.9min Read This email will be both tactical AND a little philosophical. So let’s dive in, shall we? The tactical: I’ll hear more often than not, that there is just SO MUCH information out there about [you can fill in the blank] and it’s so hard to keep up with all of it.Yes! 100%! We live in a time where there is literally more information than we can comfortably consume. It’s just not possible. Sooo, we have to find ways to still gather the...

An entrepreneur's recipe for sweet success 3.1min Read Happy Sunday everybody. Couple things I want to cover with this email today. One is I want to show you how easy it is to build something out with AI. And I want to make it VERY clear to you today in this email that it is possible for YOU to build absolutely anything! AI is the easy part. It’s just a matter of making sure that you have a vision for what you want to build. I’ll take it even further by saying, if you don’t have clarity in...

An entrepreneur's recipe for sweet success 3.13min Read I’m pulling the curtain back on the stuff I’ve been building in the background... So here’s something new.I’ve been quietly building a bunch of cool stuff behind the scenes, and instead of just hinting at it in here every week, I decided to actually record short videos showing you EXACTLY what I’m doing. Why? Because I want you to see how this stuff works. Not just hear me say “AI is wild” for the hundredth time. (But it is…) You should...
