Wow, this week was an eye opener!

This is too important to build up to, I’m jumping right in here:

Saturday of last week I went to an AI workshop in Utah that was going to take place on Tuesday of this week. I'm friends with the guy that was putting it on as he and I have been working in this space for a little while now. He wanted me to see what he’s been doing and give him feedback on the presentation.

I jumped at the opportunity, so Monday night I flew out. All day Tuesday we had the workshop and I flew back Tuesday night.

It was a whirlwind, but it was absolutely incredible and it opened my eyes on some things that I have been thinking, but this completely validated it.

In this email my intention is to open your eyes or at least reiterate what you might already know.

My GOAL is to put together a training of my own either in person and/or virtual and really dive into all this, so if THAT is of any interest, shoot me a reply. It’ll help me validate this idea.

The Takeaways:

It wasn’t the technology. I’ve been DEEP in AI for a while now. I’ve built workflows, automated systems, consulted for companies. Nothing I saw was technically new to me in that way, but what WAS new was...Watching a room of experienced, super successful business leaders realize in REAL time that they’ve been working twice as hard as they need to. That was so cool and crazy to see!

One guy. VP of something. Been in his industry 20+ years. He uploaded a contract he’d been putting off reviewing for two weeks. Claude flagged three "aggressive terms", a missing liability thing, and an auto-renewal clause buried in section I dont remember... in about 90 seconds.

Another great example was a CEO who basically ran an audit through Claude to figure out who/what the bottle neck is in her company and it turns out, the bottleneck is HER. She resigned immediately... Just kidding!

There’s a misconception about AI:

I would say that most people think the skill is “learning the technology.” So they watch tutorials. They read articles. They bookmark tools.

But the thing that I ACTUALLY important is the same skill that makes a good CEO a good CEO.

Being able to delegate.

You already know how to delegate.
You do it every day.

You tell your team what you need, you give them context, you set expectations, and you let them run with it.

AI is the SAME THING.

Except this “team member” works at 3am, never forgets what you told it, and doesn’t need health insurance… dont even get me started on insurance as an entrepreneur….

The people who are crushing it with AI right now are the generalists. They’re the ones who are best at explaining what they need. That’s it. Seriously.

I like to say:

Think first. Then talk. Then build.

The training I was at had this same framework that I genuinely think is the difference between people who get value from AI and the people who play with it for five minutes and give up.

Don’t start by typing into ChatGPT or Claude.
Instead, start by THINKING. On paper. With a pen. ( I prefer apple notes, but same same)

What do you actually want?
What do you already know?
What’s your gut telling you?

Then you SPEAK it. Use something like whisperflow to Talk to the AI like you’d talk to a colleague.

Then you BUILD. The AI goes off and does it. You iterate and adjust and walk away with finished work.

Let me be totally straight with you here…

Six months ago, I could tell you “hey, you should check this out.” Just a friendly suggestion to hop on the train…

That window is closing. This is not something you can sit on. You need to understand these concepts as soon as possible so that you can actually ride this wave ahead of your completion.

In the room this week, was one woman turned 45 minutes of voice notes about her company’s client intake process into a professional SOP document... by literally just talking. She said her team had been “meaning to document that” for three years.

Amazing right??

What I’m doing about it

So here’s the thing. I’m building my own version of this workshop

I sat in that room and thought... this is what I’ve been doing with clients one-on-one. But there’s something about a room full of people all having the same “holy cow” moment at the same time that just hits different.
I want to create that moment for more people.

More on that soon. But if you’re reading this and you haven’t opened Claude in the last week for REAL work (not asking it trivia questions)... start this Monday. Open your inbox. Paste in your three hardest emails. Ask it to draft replies in your voice.

That’s it. Just try that!

You’ll thank me by Wednesday.

Hopefully

BITES 🍩

🍩BITE 1 — The magic RICE prompt framework

If you remember nothing else: Role, Input, Context, Expectation. Tell AI who it is, give it the raw material, explain the situation, and define what you want back. Stick that on a Post-it note (for any gen z reading this, that's a tiny little piece of paper that you use a pen or pencil to write on and it has sticky on the back so. You can put it places) on your monitor.

An entrepreneur's recipe for sweet success 2.9min Read This email will be both tactical AND a little philosophical. So let’s dive in, shall we? The tactical: I’ll hear more often than not, that there is just SO MUCH information out there about [you can fill in the blank] and it’s so hard to keep up with all of it.Yes! 100%! We live in a time where there is literally more information than we can comfortably consume. It’s just not possible. Sooo, we have to find ways to still gather the...

An entrepreneur's recipe for sweet success 3.1min Read Happy Sunday everybody. Couple things I want to cover with this email today. One is I want to show you how easy it is to build something out with AI. And I want to make it VERY clear to you today in this email that it is possible for YOU to build absolutely anything! AI is the easy part. It’s just a matter of making sure that you have a vision for what you want to build. I’ll take it even further by saying, if you don’t have clarity in...

An entrepreneur's recipe for sweet success 3.13min Read I’m pulling the curtain back on the stuff I’ve been building in the background... So here’s something new.I’ve been quietly building a bunch of cool stuff behind the scenes, and instead of just hinting at it in here every week, I decided to actually record short videos showing you EXACTLY what I’m doing. Why? Because I want you to see how this stuff works. Not just hear me say “AI is wild” for the hundredth time. (But it is…) You should...
