An entrepreneur's recipe for sweet success
3.0min Read
So it's early Thursday, coffee's on, and I’m sitting on my stationary bike right now typing this out. I can stop thinking about a post I saw the other day ➡️ WATCH HERE I call this the teaching loop.
Here's how it goes. You grind at a thing. You finally "make it"... whatever that actually means. And the second you do, people start seeing your stuff and the number one question becomes "how did you do that?" Because of course they want to “make it” one day as well. Don't we all! SO you start teaching people how you did it. And then some of THOSE people make it. And people ask THEM how they did it. And now they're teaching people how to do the thing you taught them. This happens in literally every industry. I watched it happen in fitness years ago. First the move was becoming an online trainer. Then once you made money as an online trainer, the move was coaching the other online trainers on how to be online trainers. Then coaching the coaches of the coaches. You can see the loop, right? It's the cycle of success. Nothing wrong with it. BUT here's the add on to all this that I want you to think about. The "made it" problem— When you're in the "made it" phase, you're usually too far away from the "trying to make it" phase for most people to relate to you anymore. And I don't mean you forgot. Some of you remember the broke, scared, nobody's-watching phase like it was yesterday (for some of you it WAS yesterday). But the person on the other side of the screen doesn't see your memory. They see your follower count. They see 200k followers and their brain goes "cool, must be nice, that's not for me." Not because you're doing anything wrong. It just feels out of reach. The gap is too big to picture themselves crossing it. Which brings me to the thing I actually want to say this week. NOW is the best time to be a beginner I genuinely believe there has never been a better time to be in phase 1 or phase 2 of whatever you're building. Because you're close enough that people can still see themselves in you. So here's the flow. Learn something, and then turn around and share it. Not next year. Not when you "make it." IMMEDIATELY. You figured out how to get your first client? Share it that week. You finally got a video to break 1,000 views? Share what you did differently. You set up an AI thing that saved you two hours? Show people. (I do this constantly and it's still the stuff people ask me about the most.) People want to watch the climb. They want to follow the journey. They want to be the one who says "I was following this guy back when he had 655 followers." That's where you are right now. That's not a weakness. That's the most relatable you will EVER be. Don't waste it waiting to feel qualified. Okay but how do you break out of the loop? This is the part I don't have figured out yet, and I'm not gonna pretend I do. Because here's the trap. If the only thing you ever teach is "how to grow," then the only people you attract are people who want to grow, and then you teach them to teach people how to grow... and now you're just another lap around the loop. I want something more than that. Something evergreen. Something that's actually MINE. A business that resonates with people because it's unique to what I've lived, not because it's the same growth playbook with my face on it. I haven't gotten there yet.
But I think I know where it starts, and it's not sexy. Step one is reps. Producing alllll kinds of content. Podcasts, posts, newsletters, videos, the weird idea you're not sure about. All of it. Not because every piece is going to hit, but because you can't find the signal without the volume. Step two is listening. And I mean actually listening. The comments. The DMs. The one post that got ten replies when the rest got two. What feels right when you're making it. What people keep bringing up. What resonates and what falls flat. And then step three is... the product appears. Theoretically. Maybe. Possibly? I'm choosing to believe that if you get the reps in and you listen hard enough, the thing you're supposed to build kind of raises its hand. Ask me in six months if I was right. My promise to you—This is the whole reason this newsletter exists, by the way. I'm not writing to you from the top of the mountain. I'm a couple switchbacks ahead of some of you and a couple behind others. I turned in my badge less than a year ago. I'm in phase 2, tops So my promise is simple.I will share everything I learn with you AS I'm learning it. Not after I've cleaned it up. Not after it worked. While it's happening, wins and face-plants included. That's the deal. And I'd love for you to do the same. Reply and tell me one thing you learned this week that you haven't shared with anyone yet. Then go share it. You're not too early. You're right on time.

BITES 🍩BITE 1 — The 655 follower advantage If you've been sitting on a "someday I'll start posting" plan, this is your sign. I mean it... Pick the last thing you figured out how to do and post about it this week. JUST ONE POST. The person who needs it is one step behind you, not fifty. 🍩BITE 2 — AI Juice 🧃 Speaking of making it easy... I wrote up the exact system I use to make one episode of my podcast in about 15 minutes of human time. Descript records it, Claude edits it, cuts the clips, writes every post, and drafts it to Spotify. The whole playbook is free, including the prompts and the actual skill file you can save in Claude. Grab it at kevinbellco.com. This is me practicing what I just preached. I learned it, so I'm handing it to you.

An entrepreneur's recipe for sweet success 2.1min Read It’s Thursday morning a little after 6am and I’m walking around my neighborhood with 2 weighted vests on, staring at my phone typing away. Oh and I also have a wireless mic clipped to the vest. In case inspiration strikes me and I make a video during the walk. If anyone really looked closely at what was going on here, they would have some questions for sure. But check this out— no one really looks that hard. And if they do, most aren’t...
