You Can Just Do Things...

What’s up Reader!

Happy Sunday!

BIG NEWS ALERT!!

Monday March 31st (tomorrow) at 11am PST, I was able to get Sahil Bloom on a zoom call. Sahil is the author of one of my all time favorite books, The Five Types Of Wealth. He is one of the kindest, most genuine dudes I know with a WEALTH of knowledge about building the life of your dreams, on your own terms that he POURED into his book.

I'd love for you to join if you're available. Here's the link if you want to hop on and talk to Sahil yourself. It'll be open forum.

Ok, now let’s dive right in. We’re not messing around today!

Topics I’ll cover

  1. You have to do things to do things
  2. Poster Kid
  3. Becoming the ultimate connector
  4. Mystery Link
  5. The AI Juice

FIRST, I’m going to drop some business and app ideas I’ve been thinking about right here to get your wheels turning. If you like them and want to work on them with me, let me know. I’m always down to add more balls in the air 😉

  1. App - “CalBlok” —> A visually appealing calendar app where you only see one day at a time and can manually move your events around like blocks. It keeps you focused on the moment and the day you’re in and attempts to reduce the stress of thinking too far ahead
  2. App - “QuoteLog” —> An app that allows you to take a picture of underlined quotes in books, scans them in, logs them and allows you to search for them and have AI conversations using the imputed topics from the quotes.
  3. Biz - “UWrite” —> I’m currently curating a book from the content of YouTube transcripts and thousands of tweets. I’m going to structure it, print it and gift it as a gift. But this got me thinking that a service like this would be REALLY cool for people too busy to actually write a book, but want to. 🤔

Now let’s dig in—

Bite #1

You have to do things to do things

I know that’s totally redundant, but follow me on this… there’s an end state that you want, a level of success that you’re shooting for, a life that you want to live, a dream you have… the ONLY way to get to that destination is through what Tori’s doing right now.

The time that you’re in RIGHT NOW RIGHT NOW is the time that you need to be in, in order to get to where you want to be.

I’m not trying to be philosophical, I’m trying to paint a “punch in the face, that’s so obvious” picture of how things work.

I know you want the end result, I do too! But in order for you to get there, you have to BE HERE. In the stage you’re in right now. So instead of being frustrated about the fact that you’re not there YET, enjoy the fact that you’re exactly where you need to be.

So then what’s next? You just keep doing things.

Are they the right things? Maybe. Maybe not. But you don’t know until you try. The specific thing isn’t as important as just doing something. Set your sights on the destination and pull the trigger. DO THINGS.

I made a video here going more in depth:

Bite #2
Poster Kid

This is amazing! I love entrepreneurs in the wild, especially when they’re kids.

Learning these concepts as early as possible will change your life forever.

So here’s the story of poster kid—

My buddy, Mark
Has a 9 year old nephew who made a drawing for Marks local newsletter.

Mark made a ton of copies and had them posted all over town. He then put the offer out there for anyone else to buy a poster from “Poster Kid”. And people did (myself included)

And THEN more people started buying them. So he made this into a legit little business for his nephew.

A landing page and everything.

POSTER KID

You submit your design and poster kid makes it happen. Custom or dealers choice. Either way, this is amazing!

What this shows is literally how easy it is to start a business. Yes, the fact that it’s a kid and he’s nine and the drawings are funny all help… but so what? Lean into what makes you,
YOU.

Bite #3

Becoming the ultimate connector

Speaking of leaning into being YOU, it’s SO important for you to hold on to that.

We are now in a time where it’s easier than it’s ever been to obtain information, create things, build businesses and execute on ideas… all this is great, BUT it can make us lazy. It’s easy to just let AI take care of it without much prompting. I've said it before and I’ll say it again—
lame prompts yield lame results.

INSTEAD, this is truly your opportunity right now, with all this amazing tech at your fingertips to completely unleash the creative beast that you are and break through any and every barrier that used to be holding you back.

Lean into what makes you unique.

Be the genuine, authentic, imperfect, outlandish, amazing version of you.

Embrace it.

NEXT STEP—
Become a master promoter. There’s tons of prompt databases all over the interwebs, which are super cool (promptbase.com), but the real experience is just going to come with iteration.

That’s why the first thing I said was to embrace what makes you unique. No one can take that away from you. From here you just need to
USE THESE TOOLS.

Hack:
When you want a task performed or to work through something that you’re trying to build, be as descriptive as possible. Use voice-to-text and talk to your AI module of choice and go on a long rant until you feel like you’ve said it all. Then based on the response,
iterate.

Bite #5

The AI Juice

AI getting better than humans at coding. Forever.

AI TIP OF THE WEEK:
Record your calls (with permission of course)--
If you want to remember and sift through the awesome info you go over on a business call with a partner OR maybe you just want to make low budget podcasts… just use the iPhone feature to record your phone call. THEN take the transcript and drop it into chat GPT, use voice to text to tell AI all you want from it and let it go to work. Boom!

Final note—

For the peeps that made it all the way through; Since you read all of this, I’m assuming you also like reading other things... like books!

I’m about half way through this book and I’m really enjoying it! Very practical and tangible ways to use simple experimentation to achieve things you never thought possible.

So far, chapter 10 (how to unlock your social flow) has been my favorite. All about the power of building a community and how to do it organically around WHAT MAKES YOU, YOU... there's a theme here ;)

Enjoy your doughnut Sunday, I know I will!

Until next time...

Stay in the fight,

An entrepreneur's recipe for sweet success 2.6min Read Because I don’t know if what I’m about to do is going to work. But I think it’s important that I at least try. So if this IS the last one... I appreciate you more than you know. Thank you for tuning in. Ok. Now that I got the hook out of the way (and possibly got you to keep reading)... I’m going to keep writing these emails. The only question is whether the email platform I’m building to replace the one I pay for every year will actually...

An entrepreneur's recipe for sweet success 3.5min Read October 16, 2025 was my last day as a police officer. Listen to this instead: HERE As you're reading this, it's been a full year since I left a career I thought I'd spend 30 years in. I didn't want to spend those 30 years there, but I didn't feel like I had another choice.BUT... I did believe I was meant to do bigger things. So in the background, for those 10 years, I experimented. I tinkered. I chased a lot of shiny objects. So if you...

An entrepreneur's recipe for sweet success 2.8min Read If you haven’t seen the movie Slumdog Millionaire... watch it when you can. I’ve referenced it a couple of times over the years, and I believe that movie is a brilliant representation of what is available to each and every one of us in life. I’m not saying everyone is going to make a million dollars or end up on a game show like that. What I’m saying is that as we go through life, every experience we have, everything we go through,...
